Eagle Eye Book Shop and The AJC Decatur Book Festival are excited to host Philippa Gregory for a talk and book signing for the launch of her newest book, Tidelands.  This is a ticketed event.

Midsummer’s Eve, 1648, and England is in the grip of a civil war between a renegade king and a rebellious parliament. The struggle reaches every corner of the kingdom, even to the remote Tidelands—the marshy landscape of the south coast. Alinor, a descendant of wise women, trapped in poverty and superstition, waits in the graveyard under the full moon for a ghost who will declare her free from her abusive husband. Instead, she meets James, a young man on the run, and shows him the secret ways across the treacherous marsh, not knowing she is leading disaster into the heart of her life. Suspected of possessing dark secrets in superstitious times, Alinor’s ambition and determination mark her out from her neighbors. This is the time of witch-mania, and Alinor, a woman without a husband, skilled with herbs, suddenly enriched, arouses envy in her rivals and fear among the villagers, who are ready to take lethal action into their own hands.

You ordered the book through our website or prepaid in our store or by phone and will pick it up at the event.  We will have a list of buyers who bought in advance plus, the info will be in our website records.  You can also come to the store to pickup your book from August 20th to August 31st.
  2. You are at the festival but have not bought Tidelands and, consequently, do not have a ticket.  You are very welcome to buy the book at the EE tent and get their ticket then.
  3. You ordered the book through our website or phoned in an order and you want it shipped to you because you cannot come to the event; you want it personalized.  We will try to have the book personalized, not guaranteed.  Please write in the comments box who to inscribe it to.  NOTE:  Philippa will only sign the customer’s name and her signature, no messages/comments/dates. Philippa will sign the new books and backlist titles.  However, backlist signing is limited to signature only.  The shipping will take place by the Friday following the festival.

  5. You bought Philippa’s backlist books from EE but did not buy Tidelands from EE.  This is a signing based on Tidelands and so you must buy that book.  While we appreciate you buying backlist from us the publisher requires a purchase of Tidelands.
  6. You are a collector of PG’s books and you bring more than 4 books to be signed.  You can go through the signing like everyone else and have the 4 books (including Tidelands) signed but, to get more books signed you will have to go to the end of the line and hope the author will stay long enough to sign backlist.
  7. You are wanting the backlist books inscribed.  PG will only inscribe Tidelands.  She will sign other backlist books.
  8. You bought Tidelands from EE and attended the presentation but you cannot stay around to get your book signed.  What can you do?  We will TRY to get copies of Tidelands signed BEFORE the event and put these aside for these kinds of situations.  However, we don’t know if PG will be able to pre-sign books.
  9. You lost their ticket or you want a refund of your ticket purchase.
