"Dogs speak words

  But only poets

  And children

  Hear"

This is a story that will melt your heart.

A dog, named Teddy, rescues two children after a bad car accident in a terrible snowstorm.  Since they can all communicate with each other, they are able to make the best of a bad situation.  Teddy leads the kids to the cabin in the woods where he lived with his master, a poet, until the poet died.  Now Teddy lives by himself there.

The story of comfortable, but isolated, survival and what the companions learn from each other through their tears and laughter will remain with you for a long time (in dog years!).

I give this book 5 out of 5 barks!
