Description

New thematic fantasy title in the bestselling, collectable anthology with stories from open submissions alongside classic authors.

With new stories by modern writers and classic tales from many traditions, Hidden Realms Short Stories delves into the secret corridors, the hidden doors at the end of the alley, the hole in the trunk of an ancient oak. This new collection of fantasy stories continues the bestselling Gothic Fantasy series by mixing open submissions and classic literature (from Alice in Wonderland to Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and tales of the hidden city of Telassar) exploring the adventures of hidden places, secret gardens, and shadow lands in forests and mountains, in the swamps and wild places of our world, and beyond.

New, contemporary and notable writers featured are: Florence Adongo Bull, Monica Butler, Sam Dawson, Kat François, Evelyn Freeling, Sandra M. Grayson, Deanne Heron, Liam Hogan, Jennifer Hudak, Zoe Kaplan, E.E. King, Amanda Cecelia Lang, Karima Leslie, Susan L. Lin, Briana Una McGuckin, David McVey, Ville Meriläinen, Eric Montag, Marshall J. Moore, Michelle Muenzler, Chiamaka Muoneke, Aimee Ogden, Takbir Rahman, Lance Schonberg, Anna Taborska, Kanishk Tantia, Brian Trent, William H. Wandless, J. Weintraub, and Ramez Yoakeim. These feature alongside classic stories by the likes of Lewis Carroll, Lord Dunsany, George MacDonald, Mary de Morgan and Edith Nesbit.

The Flame Tree Gothic Fantasy, Classic Stories and Epic Tales collections bring together the entire range of myth, folklore and modern short fiction. Highlighting the roots of suspense, supernatural, science fiction and mystery stories, the books in Flame Tree Collections series are beautifully presented, perfect as a gift and offer a lifetime of reading pleasure.
